Wesley Willis
Wesley Willis (1963–2003) was an American self-taught visual artist from Chicago, known for his densely detailed pen-and-ink drawings of urban landscapes, fantastical figures, and imagined cities. His work combines meticulous patterning with a raw, imaginative sensibility, reflecting his unique perspective on the world. Willis was also a musician, creating humorous and repetitive songs with a keyboard and drum machine, but it is his visionary artwork that has earned him lasting recognition in outsider art circles.
