Anti Matter Art Placement (AMAP) is an art dealership and advisory firm specializing in the thoughtful placement of distinctive artworks with collectors, designers, and corporate clients. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends and collectors Benjamin Fuentes and Thomas Mauling, AMAP grew organically from a shared private collection into a full-service commercial venture.

Ben and Tom began collecting art in the 1980s, developing a deep, hands-on understanding of the market over decades of buying, living with, and studying works across genres. In 2018, they began selectively selling pieces from their own collection and soon expanded their practice to assist friends and clients in marketing individual works and entire collections for a fair commission. This naturally evolved into a broader advisory role—curating, sourcing, and placing art in private, design-driven, and corporate environments.

AMAP works closely with clients to curate and install artwork that aligns with both aesthetic vision and context. In addition to placement services, the firm provides market representation, guiding clients through sales via major auction houses including Christie’s, Rago, and Slotin Folk Art Auction.

In recent years, AMAP has significantly expanded its focus on Outsider art while cultivating strong relationships with dealers and galleries across major art centers, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Atlanta. Every engagement is rooted in experience, discretion, and a genuine respect for the work and the people who collect it.
